Warren Data Co. · Chicago, ILData analysis · Dashboards · Practical AI

Finally, a data team for small businesses.

Your customers, your jobs, your sales already tell you what to do next, you just don't have the time to sit down and sift through it all. That's the job we do for you: we dig through the data you're already collecting and hand you a simple dashboard and a Monday report-out, so the answer's waiting instead of buried.

No pitch deck. We look at what you've got and tell you what's worth doing.

The problem we solve

You already collect the data. Nobody's reading it.

Every sale, every job, every invoice — captured perfectly, then buried in systems that don't talk to each other and reports nobody opens.

  • Your POS knows everything — and the report your team pulls is the monthly total.
  • Someone rebuilds the same spreadsheet every month. Accurate, late, backward-looking.
  • The answers live in your inbox — quotes, invoices, supplier terms — and nobody has three hours to dig.

What you won't get from us

  • A forty-page strategy deck
  • New software you didn't ask for
  • A dashboard with sixty charts and no answer
  • A three-month discovery phase

If the honest answer is "you don't need this," that's what you'll hear.

How it works

Look. Build. Hand over.

STEP 01 Weeks 1–2

The audit

We go through what you already have. You get a short written read: what's worth doing, what isn't, and what it costs. Yours to keep either way.

STEP 02 First 30 days

The build

The smallest version that helps — your dashboard, your Monday report — in front of the people who'll use it, refined from their feedback.

STEP 03 You own it

The handover

Everything in your accounts, your name, documented. Stay on monthly if you want us around — plenty of clients don't need to.

Bring us the messiest thing you've got.

Thirty minutes. Your pricing spreadsheet, the report nobody opens — we'll tell you whether there's something worth doing in it.

Dashboards

Once we know what matters, this is where it lives.

A dashboard isn't the starting point, the analysis is. This is what comes out of it: one live view built on your POS, books, and spreadsheets, refreshed nightly, showing only what we found actually matters for your business.

The standard

Rules every dashboard we ship follows

  • Answers a question. If a chart doesn't change a decision, it doesn't ship.
  • Readable in two minutes. The whole view, top to bottom, before your coffee's cold.
  • One source of truth. Your accountant and your ops lead see the same numbers.
  • No new logins for the crew. It reads from your systems; nobody's workflow changes.
  • Yours. Runs in your accounts, documented, handed over.

Works with what you have

We connect to the tools small businesses actually run on:

Square, Clover, Toast, Shopify & other POS
QuickBooks, Xero & your accountant's exports
Google Sheets, Excel & the CSV someone emails you
Job costing, scheduling & industry tools

Your numbers, in a view like this, in 30 days.

The audit tells you exactly what your dashboard would show — and what it costs — before anything gets built.

Report-outs

The insight, not just the numbers, in your inbox every Monday.

Anyone can email you a number. This is what we found when we actually dug into it: what happened, what changed, and the one call worth making this week, delivered where you'll read it.

Why it works

Reports nobody opens don't count

Most reporting fails at the last step: it asks a busy owner to go look. The report-out flips it — the numbers come to you, pre-read, with the decision already framed.

  • Push, not pull. Email or text — wherever you'll actually read it.
  • One call per week. Not sixty charts. The single thing worth acting on.
  • Plain English. If your accountant and your foreman both get it, it ships.
  • Board & bank ready. The same brief works for partners, lenders, and family.
CADENCE Weekly

The Monday brief

The operating one-pager above. Standard for every client.

CADENCE Monthly

The month close

Deeper look: trend lines, line-level P&L, what changed and why — timed to your books closing.

CADENCE Quarterly

The sit-down

A working session on the quarter: what the data says to stop, start, and double down on.

Two minutes every Monday. That's the whole ask.

The audit produces your first report-out as a sample — so you see it on your real numbers before committing to anything.

AI setup & agents

Your tools already have AI in them. Nobody turned it on.

QuickBooks, Square, Gmail, your CRM — they're all shipping AI features your team ignores because nobody has time to figure them out. We set them up, wire in the agents worth having, and train your people until it sticks.

Find out what applies to you

What we actually implement

No chatbot on your website. Specific, boring things that give hours back every week.

Turn on what you pay for

The AI already sitting in your POS, books, and email — configured for your business, connected to your data, and switched on properly instead of ignored.

Assistants with a leash

Agents that draft quotes, sort inbound email, chase overdue invoices, and file documents — every one behind a human approve button. Nothing leaves the building on its own.

Training that sticks

We sit with your office manager, your estimator, your bookkeeper — until it's part of the routine, not a feature nobody touches. Cheat sheets included.

The rules

How we keep AI from embarrassing you

AI that auto-sends a wrong quote costs you a customer. Our setups follow four rules, no exceptions:

  • Human approves anything outbound. Drafts, not autopilot — at least until it's earned trust.
  • Starts where mistakes are cheap. Sorting, drafting, summarizing first. Money and customers later.
  • Your data stays in your accounts. Nothing gets trained on, nothing leaves your systems.
  • Measured in hours saved. If a setup isn't saving real time by week four, we rip it out.
EXAMPLE Quoting

Same-day quotes

Job details in, drafted quote out — priced from your history, sitting in a review queue. Your estimator clicks approve. Callers stop waiting three days.

EXAMPLE Inbox

The sorted morning

Inbound email tagged and routed before you sit down: new work, invoices, supplier noise. The urgent one is on top.

EXAMPLE Collections

Polite persistence

Overdue invoices get a courteous drafted nudge on a schedule — you approve, it sends, cash shows up sooner.

Bring us your busiest week. We'll find the hours in it.

The audit maps where AI genuinely pays off in your operation — and tells you plainly where it doesn't.

For associations

Six years inside a national association. Now on your side of the table.

Before Warren Data Co., our founder led data and technology projects at one of the country's largest medical associations. The AMS nobody fully trusts, the board that wants numbers your team can't easily pull, the annual meeting that generates data no one touches after the survey closes. We've sat in your seat. Now we do that work for associations that can't justify a full-time data hire.

Talk to someone who's done your job

The questions your data can already answer

Most associations are sitting on years of member, event, and financial data. These are the answers hiding in it.

Renewal risk, before the lapse

Which members are drifting, months before their renewal date. Engagement scoring built from the activity you already track: logins, event attendance, committee work, email behavior. Your retention team gets a call list, not a hunch.

Non-dues revenue, mapped

Which programs, sponsorships, and events actually carry their weight once staff time is counted, and which beloved programs quietly lose money every year. The analysis your board keeps asking for and nobody has time to build.

Events that prove their value

Registration patterns, session attendance, exhibitor ROI, and what your annual meeting data says about next year, analyzed by someone who has run the analytics for a 15,000-attendee national conference.

Why this works

We speak AMS, not just SQL

Association data work fails when consultants treat you like a generic business. Your world has its own systems, vocabulary, and politics, and we know them firsthand.

  • Your AMS stays put. iMIS, Fonteva, Nimble, MemberSuite, Personify, we build on top of what you have, not around it.
  • Board-ready by default. Every deliverable is written so it can go straight into a board packet without translation.
  • Built for lean staff. Designed for teams where "the data person" is also the events person and the membership person.
  • Priced for association budgets. A fixed-fee audit first, so the committee knows exactly what it's approving.
DELIVERABLE Monthly

The membership pulse

One page for leadership: membership movement, engagement trends, renewal outlook, and the single thing worth acting on this month.

DELIVERABLE Quarterly

The board packet

The numbers story for your board, clear, honest, and consistent quarter to quarter, so meetings are about decisions instead of definitions.

DELIVERABLE Annual

The meeting debrief

What your event data actually says: who came, what worked, what to change, delivered while decisions for next year can still be made.

Bring us your AMS export. We've seen worse.

A 30-minute call with someone who has lived the association data problem, and will tell you honestly what's worth doing about yours.

Pricing

Ask about it

Every engagement starts with the audit — no exceptions. It's how we both find out if this is worth doing.

Questions people ask before the first call

Do we need new software? +

Almost never. We build on what you have — your POS, QuickBooks, spreadsheets, whatever's there. If a system genuinely can't do the job, we'll tell you, but a migration is a last resort, not a sales pitch.

We're a team of five. Is this really for us? +

You're exactly who this is for. Small teams get the most from this because the reporting burden falls on the fewest shoulders, and every hour back matters. Everything runs without a technical person on staff.

What does "AI" actually mean here? +

Specific, boring, useful things: drafting quotes for one-click approval, sorting inbound email, pulling data from documents, writing the first draft of the weekly summary. No chatbot on your website unless you want one.

How do you handle our data? +

Everything runs in accounts your business owns and controls. We don't take copies of your data into our systems, and access ends when the engagement does. The audit includes a plain-English note on where your data lives and who can touch it.

What if the audit says there's nothing worth building? +

Then that's the recommendation, in writing — and you've spent a small fixed fee finding out instead of a year's budget learning it the hard way. We'd rather lose a project than build something nobody opens.

About

The data person your business could never justify hiring. Now you don’t have to.

Warren Data Co. is one person’s answer to a gap he kept seeing: big organizations have someone who lives in the numbers. Small businesses are on their own.

Alonzo Warren, founder of Warren Data Co.
Alonzo WarrenFOUNDER · CHICAGO, IL
Meet the founder

I'm Alonzo. I'm the one who wants your next decision backed by data, not just a gut feeling.

Every business owner runs on instinct, and honestly, your gut is usually pretty good. It got you this far. My job isn't to replace it. It's to put real numbers next to it: sometimes the data confirms what you already suspected and you move with total confidence. Sometimes it catches the thing your gut missed before it costs you. Either way, you stop guessing and start knowing.

I spent over six years doing exactly that at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, one of the largest medical associations in the country, with a membership base of more than 30,000 and a 15,000-person annual meeting. Leadership would come in with an instinct about a program, an event, or a budget line, and I'd go find out what the data actually said. Sometimes I validated their call. Sometimes I saved them from it. That back-and-forth between instinct and evidence is where good decisions get made.

What I learned there shaped how I work now. Fancy doesn't matter. Readable does. The best solution is usually built on tools people already have. And a recommendation only counts if it's in plain English and someone actually uses it.

Big organizations get a person like this on staff. Most small businesses never will, because the math doesn't work. Warren Data Co. is me closing that gap.

The idea

We do the work. Then we hand over the keys.

We connect the systems, build the dashboards, write the report-outs, wire in the AI — and stay until the people using it actually use it.

Everything runs in your accounts, in your name, documented. When we leave, nothing breaks. That's the test we build to.
